In spearheading Canua's Product Hunt launch, we embarked on a meticulous journey guided by research, ideation, and refined design execution. A comprehensive analysis of top-performing launches on the platform informed our strategy, ensuring a data-driven approach. The project's success was further solidified through the seamless integration of logo animation, meticulous mockup execution, and the finalization of designs. This holistic approach, rooted in technical precision and user engagement, positioned Canua as a standout presence on Product Hunt, reinforcing its visibility and impact within the competitive fintech landscape. This groundwork paved the way for a strategic and engaging launch that resonated with the platform's audience.

The result was a resounding success, marked by 487 upvotes, 366 comments, and the distinguished recognition of being named the first fintech product of the day. This validation from the Product Hunt community underscored the effectiveness of our approach, emphasizing not only the numerical metrics but also the qualitative impact of the launch within the fintech space.

The Design Process

Research
Embarking on the Research phase, we gathered insights from top-performing launches and products on Product Hunt, identifying those with the highest upvotes and superior rankings. This comprehensive analysis provided a foundation for our approach. We also collected the actionable to-dos.

Ideation
The Ideation stage unfolded through organized workshops, stimulating collaborative brainstorming sessions. These discussions spanned visual directions, content strategies, and the key messages we aimed to convey. Culminating in several concept options, this phase set the stage for the subsequent creative processes.

Visual Language
Transitioning into Visual Language, I translated conceptual ideas into early design concepts, exploring diverse styles, messages, and content variations. The objective was to present a spectrum of options to the client, enabling them to make an informed choice based on their brand identity and messaging preferences.

Logo Animation
The Logo Animation phase saw the creation of multiple versions, followed by a voting process that led to the selection of the final animated material. This ensured a dynamic and engaging representation of the brand during the launch.

Mockups
Moving to Mockups, the selected logo and screens were put into mockups so we could simulate the look and feel of them on PH. This involved meticulous retouching of both the pages and the logo, refining the visual elements for optimal presentation.

Final Designs
The journey reached its peak with Final Designs, where refinements were applied to every detail. Post-validation, all assets were meticulously exported and uploaded, poised for release at the pre-scheduled time, ensuring a polished and strategically timed Product Hunt launch.

Research

We gathered info about launches that did well on Product Hunt (got lots of upvotes and ranked high daily and weekly). We made a board and put these images on it. Then, we had a meeting to figure out what was similar and different in how they looked – like the colors, patterns, messages, and content.
